The Matrix was released in 1999 by the studio Village Roadshow Pictures under the helm of director/producer duo the Wachowski Brothers. The movie opened to critical acclaim grossing $465 million worldwide, far surpassing the filmââ¬â¢s budget. The film features Keanu Reeves as Neo, the storyââ¬â¢s protagonist, Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus, Neoââ¬â¢s guidance, and Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith, the storyââ¬â¢s antagonist, with supporting cast members such as Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity), Gloria Foster (Oracle), and Joe Pantoliano (Cipher). The film is set in a present-day city (whichShow MoreRelatedExploring A Research Method?
